What to Expect During Your Sleep Study...
Upon arrival at Comprehensive Sleep Center, you will be greeted by a specially trained sleep technician. He or she will show you to your private bedroom with bath, a queen sized bed, and TV with DVD player. The technician will go through a pre-sleep routine that includes preparing and applying external electrodes and answering any further questions you may have. Electrodes will be applied to various parts of your body, such as your scalp, near the eyes, nose, chin, chest and on the legs. These electrodes are applied to the skin using a paste substance that will wash off easily the next morning. Once all the wires are in place, you will be free to watch television, read, or just relax prior to falling asleep.
